International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY)
An international network of people from more than 70 nations "who are committed to bringing books and children together". Publishes the journal Bookbird.
Children's Book Council of Australia
CBCA is a volunteer organisation that was established in 1945 and which runs "Book of the Year" awards for children's literature.

A collection of over 20,000 children's books, research files and authors' and illustrators' papers housed at the University of Canberra Library.
Children's Literature Research Collection at the State Library of Victoria
The State Library of Victoria holds over 100,000 children's books, with particular emphasis on Australian children's books from the past century. The Dromkeen Collection of over 7,500 original artworks and illustrations from children's books was recently transferred to the SLV.

The CLRC at the State Library of South Australia comprises more than 66,000 children's books from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, primarily from Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom.
